I’m so pleased to announce that 2019’s first round of the Okinawa Life Course is open for enrollment! Throughout this course you will learn new ways to weave healthy habits into your routine AND begin to experience deeper levels of happiness and satisfaction for what you DO have. We all know that living a beautiful life and appreciating it can be two different things and the Okinawa Life Course:
1. Is a curriculum that supports you in prioritizing your physical, mental, and emotional health.
2. Makes the above feels effortless, fun, and ensures that your changes occur from the INSIDE out.
If you’re anything like me, you may have experienced times where you were successful in 1-2 pockets of your life but continued to find yourself burnt out or even resentful on the inside. Too often it’s easier to be kind to others than to direct that same love and compassion towards ourselves or sadly, those who are closest to us. As Maya Angelou said, “If you only have one smile in you, give it to the people love. Don’t be surly at home, then go out into the street and start grinning, ‘Good morning’ at total strangers.”

The Okinawa Life Course isn’t about weight loss or “fixing” yourself, it’s about nurturing joy and being amazed at how it impacts your physical body and your most important relationships. How do I know that this works? Because for over a decade I have implemented these habits that have kept me in the best shape of my life AND have helped me weather storms like major moves, job loss, marriage, and 4 kids in 5 years.
Why The Okinawa Life Course?
Okinawa is known as a Blue Zone, one of the healthiest places in the world with more centenarians than anywhere else and arguably the happiest. Okinawa also happens to be where I was born and raised by my Okinawan family. When I moved to the United States for the first time as an 18-year old college freshman, I experienced a tremendous amount of culture shock which resulted in a downward spiral in my lifestyle choices. At 25 years old I realized that the easiest path to health and happiness had been modeled for me my whole life, so I went back to my roots. Being both Okinawan and American means that everything I do is a bit of East meets West, so I’ve collected habits from both sides of the globe that foster lasting and sustainable health.
